Practical year for high school graduates: APA and PiBS - DTI

Students holding a high school diploma (maturità liceale) can access the Bachelor's degree programs of the Department of Innovative Technologies through a practical pathway designed to provide both theoretical knowledge and the necessary professional experience.

The practical activity has a minimum duration of 10 consecutive months and it is possible to choose from the following options:
  • Pathway with Pre-formative Practical Year (before entering the Bachelor's)
  • Pathway with Integrated Practice (during the Bachelor)
Students holding a general high secondary school diploma (maturità liceale) or a vocational diploma not related to the field of engineering may enroll in the Department of Innovative Technologies’ Bachelor of Science programmes through an educational pathway that includes a year of practical activities:
 
  • Pathway with Integrated Practice (PiBS) - the practical training takes place during the Bachelor’s programme
  • Pathway with Assisted Practical Year (APA) - the practical training takes place before starting the Bachelor’s programme

Finding a host company is responsibility of the participant. The duties and tasks to be certified should be coordinated with the head of the degree program.

Students enrolled in this mode are required to pay the semester fee. For more details, please refer to the "Costs and Study Contributions" section on the page of your selected degree program.
